After retiring from a fulfilling career in law enforcement in New Mexico, I embarked on a new journey that would allow me to continue serving the community in a different capacity.

Moving to Florida, I pursued my passion for healthcare by earning a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida. This academic achievement was just the beginning of my journey to becoming a well-rounded healthcare provider. I dedicated one to two years in various specialties, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge that would prepare me for my ultimate goal: opening my own practice.

Throughout my career in healthcare, I noticed a recurring issue that troubled me deeply. The healthcare system often prioritizes quantity over quality, pushing providers to see as many patients as possible in a short amount of time. This approach, I believe, compromises the quality of care and the ability to truly understand and treat the whole patient. My vision for Mills Family Practice LLC was born out of a desire to change this narrative. I wanted to create a space where I could spend quality time with each patient, getting to know them beyond their symptoms and truly understanding their needs.

Establishing Mills Family Practice LLC is the realization of a long-held dream. It is a place where I can apply my diverse experiences and knowledge to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families by offering personalized healthcare that respects the individuality of each patient.

This practice is not just a business; it is a commitment to delivering healthcare with compassion, understanding, and the time it truly deserves.
